It is an exciting time to be a Jaguar! M.A.U.E. is a spectacular place, and this year will be full of excitement and growth!
As the assistant principal of Madison Avenue Upper Elementary, I will strive to help all students grow throughout their time here academically and socially.
I am so excited to see some familiar faces and meet some new faces. I received my Bachelor's in Biology from Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ. I received my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction and my Specialist in Education Leadership from the University of Mississippi. I began teaching in Meridian, MS, at Meridian High School. After teaching for several years, I joined the Mississippi Principal Corps. Principal Corps offered me the opportunity to come to Madison and learn from the best. I love experiencing the joys of elementary school. I am honored to be at M.A.U.E. I served as the administrative intern at the school during the 2016-2017 year and was brought onto the team during the 2017-2018 school year.
I am excited about the things we have planned for the year. Our theme is Wild about Learning! We look forward to teaching our students how to problem solve and work with others to succeed.
We are looking forward to helping the students do their best at everything they do.
Sincerely,
Mary Kate Diltz, Assistant Principal
