About your teacher:

I am a former 2011 Madison Central High School graduate (Go Jags!). I was involved in the MCHS Band's color guard, Girls Golf Club (2011 State Champs!), and Art Club. I studied Art and Biology at The University of Mississippi, then continued to pursue my dreams of working for Walt Disney World through the Disney College Program. My teaching career started as a long-term substitute at Oxford High School, then I returned to Madison Central High School to teach Biology and Physical Science for 5 years. This is now my eighth year teaching at MCHS, and I am so excited to officially be in the art department! My husband and I have a son named Luka, and he is our pride and joy! We love to travel and go on adventures together. 

This year, I am excited about teaching Art I, Art II, and Painting! Being an art teacher has been a dream of mine since I was in the 7th grade, and I enjoy sharing this passion with my students each year! I am truly passionate about art and enjoy showing students how fun this subject can be as well as how we can relate it to everyday life!

I look forward to a wonderful year full of learning and growing!

  • INSTRUCTIONS FOR BECOMING A CANVAS OBSERVER:

    1. Go to  https://mcs.instructure.com
    2.  In the log in box, click on "parent of a canvas user".
    3. Create an account and link it to your child's canvas login.
    4. Click on Settings in the top right corner.
    5. On the right side, find "ways to contact". Select email or text message.
    6. Enter your email or cell phone number and follow the on screen directions.  (You will need your cellular device if you choose text messaging).
    7. Click Notifications tab on the right side.
    8. Choose the following notifications to receive:  announcements, course content, discussions.  (you can choose more if you like)
