Welcome! Welcome! Welcome!
Dear Student and Parent/Guardian:
Welcome to Ridgeland High school. I am Mr. Randy Craft. I welcome you to the 2018/2019 school year, which will be an exciting and successful year for all of us.
In this Freshman Focus class you will be expected to work beyond expectations in order to master the curriculum in basic skills and comprehension. To achieve success in this endeavor we will form a partnership of effort, cooperation, encouragement, and help, both at school and at home.
To make it possible for us to maximize teaching and learning at school, I have a few basic rules which students are EXPECTED to follow:1. Come to class on time. Teacher may have hall duty and needs to supervise class. Enter classroom quickly and quietly.2. Begin bell work activity within 1 minute after the tardy bell. Directions will be on the projection screen or the board. Please do not wait for me to remind you to begin, since I need to take roll and attend to other duties for the first few minutes of the period.3.Respect adults and classmates. Please keep in mind that we are all here to become better students and teachers and we can only get better if we help each other.4.Use polite speech and body language. Unkind teasing and impolite behavior is unacceptable. Cursing is completely UNACCEPTABLE, if this style of language occurs, there will be disciplinary procedures taken.5. Attend to personal needs before coming to class. I have been instructed to limit passes, so please do not ask for a pass unless you have a true emergency.6. Refer to Ridgeland high school handbook for school rules.Requirements:MacBookComposition notebook/tablet5 hours of community service outside of the classroomAbout the Teacher:Hello, my name is Randy Craft, I am entering my 10th year as a professional educator and coach!
