• SSMS Social Science Club

Purpose: The purpose and main focus of the Social Science Club is to enhance students' thinking skills in the areas of social science, which include: history, geography, political science, sociology, and economics. Another goal is to provide in and out-of school exposure and exploration in a fun-filled atmosphere. Literacy is also a major component of our studies this year.

Other: We will meet as a club bi-weekly on Tuesday evenings from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Students must be picked up no later than 5:00 p.m. in the front of the school. Our first after school meeting will be held November 7th. If students are not in attendance for after-school Social Science meetings, they will not be allowed to attend filed trips. Student behavior and grades are both factors in students remaining in the club.

Dues: Membership dues are $20 and are due by October 25th. Dues will cover a Social Science Club t-shirt and help with other club activities. All dues are non-refundable once submitted to sponsors.
