    Welcome

Go Jags!  I am so excited to be part of the school family here at East Flora Elementary where I serve as Literacy Specialist for Grades 3-5.  My role as Literacy Specialist is to coordinate the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), support teachers, collaborate with administrators, and promote learning, achievement, and success for ALL students!  I especially enjoy working with students who need extra support to be successful!  I know from experience students can and will learn, just at different rates.

    About the Teacher

I love teaching and have been an educator since 2000 when I graduated from Delta State University.  I've taught both elementary and middle school.  I'm a National Board Certified Teacher since 2005, and I'm also the National Board Coordinator for Madison County Schools.  If you ever have questions, concerns, or needs about the Board certification process, please contact me because I'm happy to help!  I earned a Master of Education Degree from The University of Mississippi and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Mississippi College.

In 2009 I married my best friend and wonderful husband Robert and moved to Madison County.  This is my eighth year to serve as a Literacy Specialist for Madison County Schools, and I love what I do!  If you have questions or want to know more about the MTSS Process, please reach out to me.  I'm here as a resource and happy to help!
