MES Counseling Canvas Page

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year at Mannsdale Elementary!

My name is Anna Abraham, and I am excited about the new school year!  This is my 12th year as an educator and 6th year as a school counselor.  I taught 4th grade and 1st grade for 6 years at Philadelphia Elementary and Ann Smith Elementary.  I absolutely loved the classroom but felt the calling of touching more students' lives.  I had the opportunity to move positions at ASE, and I'm glad I took it.  This is my 4th year at MES, and it is my pleasure to be Mannsdale's school counselor!

My school counseling vision is to effectively support the social, emotional, and educational needs of our students.  Our counseling program will consist of individual, group, and classroom guidance counseling.  Individual and Small Group counseling will focus on the needs of the students.  Classroom Guidance lessons will focus on character traits and pro-social skills.  Teachers and/or parents may refer students to me throughout the year.

My mission is to create long lasting relationships with students, parents, coworkers, and the community.  I look forward to a wonderful school year!
