    Hello! I am Miss Pollard, and I will be your child's 5th grade Science and Social Studies teacher. I am very excited to inspire or further develop an interest in these subjects in your child, and I am looking forward to getting to know each and everyone of my students.

    I grew up in the Delta in Clarksdale, MS. I graduated from Mississippi College with a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education with a certification in Spanish and endorsements in English and Social Studies in 2014 and with a Master's in Elementary Education with a certification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) in 2015. This is my 9th year at MUES.

    A few fun facts about me:

    I love to travel and have been to 17 countries outside the U.S. 
    I love to try new things, especially foods, and have eaten lots of strange foods.
    I love history, reading, acting/theatre, music/concerts, playing piano, and dancing.
