Welcome to the 2024 - 2025 school year!

 I am LTC (R) Jennifer C. Expose-Francisco, the Senior Army Instructor for JROTC.  I am starting my 9th year here at Velma Jackson.

I was born and raised in Columbia, MS where I graduated from Columbia High.  

I retired from the US Army after 20 years of military service where I served the military throughout the United States and the World.  I have had the opportunity to live in Hawaii, Virginia, Arizona, and Georgia to name a few.  I deployed to Saudia Arabia, Kuwait, South Korea, Thailand, and Egypt.

I have two daughters:  Bria ( 32 years old) and Brooke (25 years old).

The JROTC mission is to motivate young people to be better citizens.

I enjoy helping the cadets to find scholarships, colleges,  and a career after high school.  We also have many summer camp opportunities. (JCLC Camp Shelby, MSU LeaderState, National Flight Academy in Pensacola, FL, Boys State at Ole Miss and Girls State at USM).

I was honored to be named the Velma Jackson High School Teacher of the Year and the Madison County School District High School Teacher of the Year for 2024-2025 school year.  

I'm looking forward to an even better year.
