    Welcome Message

    Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year!  I am LTC (R) Jennifer C. Expose-Francisco, senior Army Instructor for JROTC.  I'm looking forward to another great year.  Our mission is to motivate young people to be better citizens.

    We will have many exciting opportunities this upcoming school year:  Color Guard, Cadet Challenge, Drill Competitions, Velma Jackson Homecoming Parade, Veteran's Day Program, Madison Christmas Parade, the JROTC Military Ball, the JROTC Awards Banquet, and the JROTC End of Year Trip just to name a few.

    About the Teacher

    I was born and raised in Columbia, MS.  I retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of active duty service.  I had the opportunity to travel to Fort Riley, Kansas; Fort McClellan, Alabama; Fort Hood, Texas; Saudia Arabia; Fort Huachuca, Arizona; Fort Shafter, Hawaii; Korea; Egypt; Thailand; Fort Stewart, Georgia; the Pentagon; Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; Arlington, Virginia and Jackson State University.

    I retired in August 2010.  I spent the last 6 years working at Lanier High School in Jackson, MS.  This is my 4th year with Velma Jackson High School JROTC.

    I have two daughters, Bria (27 years of age) and Brooke (20 years of age) .

    I'm looking forward to a great and fun-filled school year.
