I want to welcome all our 8th grade Germantown Middle School students and parents to this new 2022 -2023 school year. It is an honor to serve the 8th grade as their grade level principal. This year will be filled with many new adventures in academic as well as middle school experiences. Many students are involved in clubs, sports, academic teams, and other opportunities of service through our school. We encourage students that are not involved to get involved and enjoy their experience. Our district and our school have high expectations of our students and want to provide support for them to be successful. 

The 2022-2023 school year is my seventh year to serve as assistant principal at Germantown Middle School. I have been in education for twenty-four years and have served in several different capacities, including classroom teacher, lead teacher, assistant principal and lead principal. I earned my bachelor's in education from Arkansas State University and my Masters in Educational Leadership from Mississippi College. I've been married for 25 years to Ben Dew. Together we have two wonderful children. Jackson, our son, is a graduate of Germantown High School and is currently attending Mississippi State University majoring in Civil/Environmental Engineering. Darby, our daughter, is a former Germantown Middle School student and is currently a Senior at Germantown High School.
