About the Teacher:
I am really excited about having your child in my class this year! I received my B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Information Systems from the University of Southern MS in 2001. In 2004, I received my Masters of Arts in Teaching (MAT) from Belhaven College. I began my career in the New Albany City Schools teaching fifth grade - all subject areas. This will be my seventh year at MMS teaching English Language Arts (ELA-8th grade). I continued my love of learning by achieving my National Board Certification in 2018. My husband, Shane, and I have been married for 20 years. We have four beautiful children - Sarah (17), Ethan (16), Abbey (14) and Molly (13) who all attend Madison County Schools. We have one dog, Lucky, a Golden Retriever, and 2 cats named Oliver and Finnley. Some of my favorite things are reading, Ole Miss football and baseball, movies and shopping. My children keep me very busy with soccer, baseball and cheer.
