My name is Rhonia Cupstid and this is my ninteeth year of teaching. I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an add-on of media-specialist and a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Immediately after graduating from Mississippi College, I taught at Pecan Park Elementary in Jackson. This my fifth year at Mannsdale Upper Elementary and I am ecstatic to be apart of your child’s education! I have taught Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, 1st grade, and Library. I absolutely love children’s literature and I hope to pass that love onto your child! I believe that reading fosters a child’s foundation for academic excellence and I want to help facilitate that as I teach.

I am married to my high school sweetheart Marcus. We both graduated from Clinton High School.  We have a fifteen year old daughter named Cloeigh. She is in the 10th grade at Germantown High School. She is now just a smidge taller then her mom and very proud of that. She loves video and photography.  When she was a little girl all she could talk about was being a big sister. She finally got her wish and was blessed with a baby brother. My seven year old son’s name is Crosby Cash. He is, what I like to call, a Batson baby. He was born at Baptist and went home as a well baby. At twelve days old we took him to Blair E. Batson Hospital and the doctors discovered that he was born with some heart defects. Crosby Cash had open heart surgery at fifteen days old. He has already overcome so many obstacles in his short life and he inspires our family each day! He loves tp play video games and golf and is in 3rd grade at Mannsdale Upper.  We have four busy dogs named Crews, Creek, Covax, and Clyne.

I am so excited to be apart of the Mannsdale Upper Family! I am thankful for the opportunity to share with and motivate your child each day.
