Mrs. Katie Chew - Mannsdale K-2nd Music
“Music gives us a language that cuts across the disciplines, helps us to see connections and brings a more coherent meaning to our world.”
–Ernest Boyer, President, Carnegie Foundation
About the Teacher:
I received my Bachelor's degree from Delta State University. This will be my third year at Mannsdale Elementary and my sixth year teaching Music in Madison County. My husband and I have been married for six years. Our son, Beckett, will be three this coming February. I LOVE teaching music and look forward to meeting you and working with your children!
About K-2nd Music:
The students at Mannsdale come to Music once a week. We will sing songs, learn traditional dances, create dances/movements, play instruments, learn about the orchestra and various composers, explore music through literature lessons, experience a wide variety of Music styles, and learn to read and write music notation. Each grade level will also prepare and perform various programs for their families to enjoy. Please check out our "What's Going On In Music" tab for more details on upcoming programs and lesson notes.
