We are so excited to have you in our class! We will have lots of fun while learning in whole groups, small groups, working with partners, and working independently. I will keep you informed of our academic journey by sending home a weekly newsletter in your child's take-home folder every Monday. You will also be able to access it here on the website. I use the app Remind 101 to send reminders and updates.

My name is Tracy Crawford and I will be your child's lead classroom teacher. I have been married to Rick Crawford for 21 years. We have three children--Anna Catherine (sophomore at Ole Miss), Jackson (12th grade--MCHS), and Chloe (10th grade--MCHS). They attended Madison Avenue Elementary and had the BEST teachers in the world!!! As a family, we enjoy playing board games and card games, watching sports, and traveling. We are also huge Ole Miss fans---Hotty Toddy!! Fins Up!!
I received a Bachelor of Education degree from Ole Miss. I am certified to teach any subjects grades K-6 and math grades 7-12. I taught for five years in DeSoto County. I was then blessed to become a stay-at-home mom to my children for six years. My next teaching adventure came with three years of teaching three-year-old preschool. I am now beginning my ninth year teaching at MAE (17th overall). I love teaching and am truly blessed to be able to lead and encourage your children in their academic career. You can't imagine how much their smiles and sweet faces brighten my day!

Your assistant teacher is Ms. Montgomery. She is in her 14th year as an assistant at MAE. She has two sons and seven grandchildren. She will be in and out of my classroom assisting students through oral, hands-on, and written work. She loves this school and these children and believes learning should be fun and active. You can find her in the front car rider line during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. Wave big!
