E-BOOKS
Hey !
Whatever device you use, OTMS Library makes electronic books available to you. You can read the e-books on your device or you can listen to the audiobooks. We have both formats of e-books.
For our e-Books, we use the Overdrive engine or platform. We chose Overdrive because the Madison County Library System used this. CLICK THE PICTURE TO THE LEFT FOR A CUTE COMMERCIAL ON SORA, AN APP FOR EBOOKS AND AUDIO BOOKS.
To access e-books, first sign in to www.clever.com. Clever is a SSO or Single Sign-On service used by our district. Once you get logged in to Clever, you will see the SORA app.
You can also go to www.soraapp.com. It will integrate with Clever if you go here first.
and finally, you can install the Clever App and/or the SORA app.
One way to read or listen to e-books is to simply READ IN BROWSER (after you Borrow and go to Checkouts) from the above link. As you move from browser to browser, it will keep track of your place in the book!
We purchase about $1000.00 worth of ebooks per year, so please check them out and enjoy them. You can check them out all day long, every day of the week, all year long.
