    Welcome Message

Welcome to the wonderful world of History and Government, where what you learn of the past today will carry with you in the future.           In sharing the motto of the Apollo Space Program... FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION!

    About the Teacher

I am currently teaching AP Government, US History and Learning Strategies for US History SATP.  In the past, I have taught Government, Law Related Education and AP US History.

I am starting my 17th year of teaching... 8 years spent in Southeast Louisiana and 8 years in Mississippi (starting my 5th year at Ridgeland High School.

I hold two bachelors (Political Science {Pre-Law} and Secondary Social Studies Education) and two masters degrees (M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction for Secondary Social Studies and M.A. in History).  I was honored to be chosen as an intern for the Louisiana State Legislature and the United States Supreme Court.  I have served on state test writing teams in Louisiana & Mississippi.

I have been married to Bryan for 10 years and have an 8 year old daughter who is beginning 3rd grade at Mannsdale Upper Elementary.

I am from Southeast Louisiana (Geaux Saints!) and attended college in Georgia (Go Bulldogs) and Louisiana (NOT LSU!) I love to cook, watch a good history OR scary movie and l LOVE to compete in almost every sport.  I love everything college and professional football!
