    Dear Jaguars,
I am excited to introduce myself as I begin my first year teaching at Madison Middle. I have lived in Madison for the past four years while working at the Mississippi School for the Deaf. I am eager for this opportunity to work in the city that I call home. I am happy to be a teacher at Madison Middle School as well as serve Deaf and hard of hearing students in other Madison county schools as an itinerant teacher.
I earned my bachelor's degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in Deaf Education in 2009 and have been teaching for four years. I have worked with students in early intervention, elementary and middle school.
My husband, Nathan, and I have been married for four years. We welcomed our daughter, Sydney, in June 2014. When I am not at school, I enjoy going to church, spending time with my family, going on road trips, hiking and playing tennis.
I look forward to getting to know you better and I know we are going to have a great school year! You can find more information about my classes on the homework blog. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions or concerns throughout the school year.
    Hope Vancil
