This will be my third year teaching 5th grade English Language Arts, and I absolutely love teaching with Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Lanford.
I have been teaching at MAUE for 10 years, mostly in Special Education. I did teach 3rd grade General Education ELA at MAUE in 2019-2020. Before moving to MAUE, I taught 9th grade English for four years at Canton High School, and I taught 7th and 8th grade English at Brandon Middle School for one year.
Family and hobbies: I have three children and have been married to my husband, David, for 33 years. We have lived in Madison for 16 years and both of my boys went to MAUE! (They turned out pretty good!) Our daughter, Sydney, graduated from Ole Miss in 2018 and is currently pursuing a Masters in Environmental Geology at MSU. Our middle child, William, graduated from Mississippi State in 2021 and is pursuing a Masters in Divinity from Samford. He was just recently married to a wonderful girl. My baby, Jake, is a senior at Ole Miss and majoring in Public Policy.
In addition to my three children, I have two fur-babies; a Chihuahua named Buttercup and a cat named Sam.
I love ALL the holidays, but I especially enjoy Halloween and Christmas. My favorite thing to do is to spend time with my family! I also love to read, watch movies, and decorate my house and classroom!
