I began teaching English at Canton High School in 2008 after staying home with my children for 14 years. I left Canton in 2012 and  moved to Brandon Middle School where taught 7th and 8th grade English. In 2014, I was so happy to move to MAUE and teach Special Education. During this time, I taught all three grades (3rd, 4th & 5th) direct instruction from 2014-2017 and taught 4th grade inclusion from 2017-2019. This year I had the wonderful opportunity to move to 3rd grade as a general education teacher. I believe that my experience in secondary education and elementary education has given me a unique perspective regarding the education of each student.

Family and Hobbies:  I have three children and have been married to my husband, David, for 29 years. We have lived in Madison for 12 years and both of my boys went to MAUE! (They turned out pretty good!) Our daughter, Sydney, graduated from Ole Miss this Spring and is working in Washington DC. Our middle child, William, will begin his sophomore year at Mississippi State this fall (Hail State!). My baby, Jake, graduated from Madison Central High School this spring and will attend Ole Miss in the fall (Hotty Toddy!).
