Welcome to 5th Grade at East Flora Elementary School!

I am in my 19th year at East Flora Elementary.  I have been teaching 5th grade for 14 years now.  This year I  will teach Math & Science to all 5th graders.  I received my bachelor's degree from Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans, LA in Biology and my teaching certification from Belhaven University in Jackson, MS.  However I began my education at the very school I now teach at, EFE!  I hope that my love and knowledge of science will encourage my students to become independent thinkers that can function in an ever changing society.
