    Welcome Message

Hello, young Mavericks!! Welcome back to school. I hope you enjoyed your summer.

    About the Teacher

My name is Michael Estes. I am a native Mississippian. My wife and I grew up in Clinton, MS, where we attended Clinton High School. I received formal training at Mississippi State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in History in the Summer of 2002 and a Master of Arts in History in the Spring of 2004.  After graduating, I began attending Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. I received a Master of Divinity in Christian Apologetics in the Spring of 2009. I began teaching in Raleigh, NC at Trinity Academy of Raleigh, a classical, Christian school, where I taught humanities and philosophy for two years. When my wife and I returned to Mississippi I began teaching at The Veritas School, where I taught history and philosophy for two years. For a year, I taught at Provine High School in Jackson, MS, where I taught English II and III. This is my sixth year at Germantown High School teaching English.

My wife and I have now been married for seventeen years. We have three children (Jackson, Lorelei, and Micah).
