    About the Teacher:

WELCOME to 7th grade! I am so excited to meet all of my new students! This is my seventh year teaching at Germantown Middle School. Language arts is my most favorite subject! I am a graduate of Mississippi State University, and I completed my Master's of Education from Mississippi College in 2011. I am a native of Madison, and I graduated from Madison Central HS. I was privileged to teach 4th and 5th grade students in Yazoo County before coming to GMS. Prior to teaching, I worked as a Behavior Therapist Associate at the Child Development Clinic at The University of Mississippi Medical Center where I conducted in clinic sessions as well as performed outreach within school districts around our state, so I have been in the classroom for a total of twelve years. I absolutely love having my own classroom and my own students - whom I definitely claim as "my kids" :)

I have been married to my husband, Josh, for fifteen years, and we have 12 year old twin boys, Parker and Cooper, who attend GMS. I also have a 7 year old, Noah, who attends Mannsdale Lower Elementary. I must also mention my other babies: my Boston Terrier, Zoey, and my cat, Felix. Along with reading being a favorite of mine, I love spending time with my family, watching Parker play baseball, and worshipping at church.
