    About the Teacher:

This is my sixth year at Germantown Middle School. Language arts is my most favorite subject! I am a graduate of Mississippi State University, and I completed my Master's of Education from Mississippi College in 2011. I am a native of Madison, and I graduated from Madison Central HS. I was privileged to teach 4th and 5th grade students in Yazoo County before coming to GMS. Prior to teaching I worked as a Behavior Therapist Associate at the Child Development Clinic at The University of Mississippi Medical Center where I conducted in clinic sessions as well as performing outreach within school districts around our state, so I have been in the classroom for a total of eleven years. I absolutely love having my own classroom and my own students - whom I definitely claim as "my kids" :)

I have been married to my husband, Josh, for fourteen years, and we have 11 year old twin boys, Parker and Cooper. I also have a 6 year old, Noah, who is definitely the "baby" of the family. Noah will be entering Kindergarten at Mannsdale this year. I must also mention my other babies: my Boston Terrier, Zoey, and my cats, Leo and Felix. Along with reading being a favorite of mine, I love spending time with my family, watching my sons play baseball, and worshipping at my church (Pinelake in Madison).
