    Senior Master Sergeant John Mills is the Aerospace Science Instructor (ASI) for Ridgeland High School’s Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) program. Sergeant Mills assists in the management of a JROTC program consisting of over 90 cadets.  He teaches academic classes in aerospace science, leadership, drill and ceremony, and physical fitness. In addition, his responsibilities include community relations, liaison with other Air Force and civilian agencies in the aerospace field, unit supply and administrative functions, career and performance counseling. He oversees extensive extracurricular programs, such as a military ball, inter-JROTC sports competition, cadet newspaper, drill team, color guard, parades, flag raising, retreat ceremonies, presentation of awards, and fund raising activities for the unit or charitable institutions 

     
    Welcome to the "Titan" family, I am looking forward to meeting all of you. The goal of AFJROTC is to promote leadership, teamwork, and citizenship. I know you are focused and ready to master the AFJROTC curriculum. This course is filled with exciting activities as well as challenging academics. I will be teaching AS-200, Science of Flight.  My hobbies are physical fitness, chess, motorcycles, reading, bowling, and photography. This is my tenth year teaching at Ridgeland High School.  Thank you for giving me the opportunity to provide instruction to your child.
