Welcome to Cyber Foundations I & II at Madison Middle School! I am so excited about starting this year teaching both 6th & 7th grade.  Cyber Foundations is the class where you learn essential software & employability skills you will use throughout your life.

Remember that you earn a high school credit (1 Carnegie Unit) in Cyber Foundations II  and the grade received is factored into your high school GPA

This is my 13th year at Madison Middle & my 17th year teaching. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Business & Technology Education from Mississippi State University - #hailstate and my Master of Education in Business Information Systems from Mississippi College. I have previous teaching experience in Rankin County, Jackson Public, and Oxford School Districts, as well as experience teaching college at the University of Louisville and adult education classes at Purdue University.

I have been married for 25 years to my husband Jimmy, who is a die-hard Kentucky Wildcat.  We have two daughters who graduated from Madison Central – Madelynn Laster, who is a NICU nurse at UMMC & newly married to McClain Laster, and Kelsey, who is a junior at Ole Miss majoring in Accounting with plans to attend law school. We love to spend time together shopping, eating out, reading, and going to football games and the beach. My favorite pastime is reading & watching murder/mystery thrillers & reality TV.

I do NOT update this page - I update my Canvas site, which you can access using the Canvas... How To...page to the left.  Your child knows their username and password, and they can give you a pairing code to follow their Canvas account.  Instructions can be found on the Canvas… How To page.

We are going to have a wonderful year this year – if you ever have any questions or concerns, the best way to reach me is through email.
