    Intro Video

Welcome to Virtual ICT & STEM

I will be teaching all virtual blocks of STEM & ICT II this year.  I will be "live" on Microsoft Teams teaching each virtual block for about 30 minutes (or more if needed) each day - just as if you were sitting in my classroom.  The BEST way to learn in my class virtually is to try to be online with me during our designated time.  The first step each day will be to login to Canvas during our block time, check the module we are currently working on for a bell ringer for the day. Then I will start “live” class in Microsoft Teams.

We will be using Microsoft Teams this year for our live meetings - this is in place of Canvas Conferences & Zoom that we used during the spring. You should check your school email (Office 365 | Outlook) for an invitation to your designated Teams Meeting.  You can also access your school calendar in Office 365 by clicking My Day on the ribbon at the top of the  Outlook application.

Remember that you earn a high school credit (1 carnegie unit) in ICT II & STEM, and the grade received is factored into your high school GPA

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Business & Technology Education from Mississippi State - #hailstate and my Master of Education in Business Information Systems from Mississippi College. I have previous teaching experience in Rankin County, Jackson Public, and Oxford School Districts, as well as experience teaching college from the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY.

I have been married for 21 years to my husband Jimmy, and we have two daughters – Madelynn, who is in nursing school at UMMC,  and Kelsey who is a junior at Madison Central and on the Cross Country & Track Teams. We love to spend time together shopping, eating out, reading, and going to cross country & track meets, football games and the beach.

I do NOT update this blog - I update my Canvas site, which you can access using the Internet Links OR Canvas... How To...page to the left.  Your student knows his/her username and password and you can get them to give you a pairing code to follow their Canvas account.  Instructions can be found on the Canvas… How To page.

We are going to have a wonderful year this year – if you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me by email or phone!
