About the Teacher

A native of Clinton, I graduated from Mississippi College in 2006 with a degree in English and again in 2014 with a Master of Arts in Teaching. I played soccer at both Clinton High School and Mississippi College, and I am involved with Brilla Soccer Ministries, through which I have had the privilege to travel to several countries--England, Scotland, Spain, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras--and play against local teams there. I've also gotten to teach youth soccer camps all over the US. 

The 2024-25 school year is my 18th year teaching English and coaching soccer. I have been at Germantown since 2012. My wife and I have four children: twin girls (2011) and two boys (2014, 2015). When not working, I enjoy reading and playing board games. I enjoy those things while working, too, though the board games are harder to work into the curriculum. My wife and I also volunteer in the student ministry at Morrison Heights Baptist Church in Clinton.
