School Bells:
The first bell will ring at 8:15 a.m. with the class/tardy bell ringing at 8:20 a.m. The final bell will ring at 3:20 p.m. Students who arrive after their first block class after the tardy bell will receive an unexcused tardy (three of these equal one absence) unless signed in by a parent.

Block Schedule Tips:
Block - 8 classes per student schedule, 4 classes per school day, 94 minutes per individual block; Blocks 1-4 occur on A-Day and blocks 5-8 occur on B-Day. Blocks 1 & 5 occur at the same time, while the other times mirror each other.
Lockers - Not available at Rosa Scott. Try 2 different colored backpacks - 1 for A-Day and 1 for B-Day
Organization - Homework assignment pad is suggested since you meet class every other day. Also, check out your teacher's web pages for more information.
Completion - What you should do with your homework on the night it is assigned.
Key - Attending school every day, all day, since academic classes are attended every other day. When you miss a block of English, it is like missing two 50-minute periods in middle school. If your child misses a day of school, be sure to send them back with a note the day they return to school. The note must contain the following: date excuse is written, date student was absent, student's full name, reason for absence, your signature and a contact phone number.
