About the Teacher

Hello!!!  My name is Stephanie Morris and I have been teaching in the Madison County School District for 26 years.  I am a native of Canton, Mississippi and the youngest of ten children.  I am a graduate of Alcorn State University and Mississippi College.  I love to travel during my pasttime.  I have been to many places- California, Minnesota, Texas, Louisana, Florida, Virginia, and Missouri.  Although I have been to some amazing places, there is no place like home.

    A Message from the Teacher

It is a pleasure to work with you and your child during the 2019-2020 school year. I look forward to the positive bond that we will form. I want to thank you for trusting me with your child. My goal as an educator is to improve the lives of children and continuously strive to seek out new ways to improve instruction. It is also my goal to create a warm and positive climate in my classroom by identifying and considering my students’ needs and interests. Everyone needs to succeed. In order to take the necessary risks to learn and to grow, my students must perceive that success is within their reach. My greatest challenge is to start with my students wherever they are and that is likely to be different from child to child. To make this relationship work, I will be sending home an ELA progress report and an AR Alert biweekly. This will give you an idea where your child stands in ELA. Please encourage your child to read at least 30 minutes per day.  Please check my webpage for updates, deadlines, projects, and homework assignments.  Let's have a great year!!!
