Welcome to 4th grade! This is my thirteenth year teaching at EFE and I am very excited to work with each student this year to help make him the best reader, writer, and thinker he can be!
We'll need your help at home, too. You can help your child by reading with him each day. Our grade will soon begin checking out library books, which need to be read before students may take an AR test. Please allow your child to share those books with you! Letting your child listen to you read and letting your child read to you are great ways to help him grow as a reader. Students can also explore digital books on
myon.com both at home and at school.
We are excited to say that every 4th grader enrolled at East Flora will have his own Chromebook that he can use to access learning sites. Be sure to check
Canvas daily for assignments, newsletters, and additional resources. Students must have a completed technology form on file with the office in order to take home a Chromebook every day. Please call the school so we can set that up for your child.

ClassDojo. Please make sure you have downloaded the apps and have your settings configured for notifications. They will be great ways for us to communicate throughout the year, stay informed about upcoming events or tests, and give you daily updates about your child's behavior.
