    Welcome Message

    Hello Parent(s) and Students:

    My name is DeShenia Coleman, and I have the pleasure of teaching 6th grade Social Studies.  I am so excited about this upcoming school year and what it has in store for your child. Throughout the year, students will be studying the history of our world.  Students will also improve skills in critical thinking.  Homework will be available in the Homework Blog to the left. Your child's success is my number 1 priority.  Together, we can make that happen.

    It is a GREAT day to be a Titan! This is my 8th year here at Old Town, but I have been in education for 14 years.  I received my Bachelor's degree in Education from The University of Southern Mississippi and a Master's in Higher Education Administration from Mississippi College.  I am married, and my husband and I have one daughter and one son.
