Please encourage your child to join the MCHS GOVERNMENT CLUB  and to consider participating in MISSISSIPPI (SENIOR) YOUTH LEGISLATURE during the first week of November. Your child will learn more about how bills become laws than I can ever teach him/her in the classroom. Costs include registration, hotel, and food -- about $250. Local businesses are always glad to sponsor students.  For further information, check out the video and visit the Mississippi Youth and Government  website.

In the spring, students interested in international relations are encouraged to participate in MISSISSIPPI MODEL SECURITY COUNCIL at MSU. It's an overnight trip. Costs include registration, transport, and hotel accommodations -- about $150.
