Mississippi TSA is the only organization dedicated exclusively to students enrolled in technology education classes’ grades 7-12. It has a productive history that spans three decades. It is currently comprised of 38 chapters with over 1400 students and advisors as members. Student members in Mississippi have served as a National TSA State Officer 15 times.
What is TSA? The Technology Student Association (TSA) is the only student organization devoted exclusively to the needs of technology education students who are presently enrolled in, or have completed, technology education courses. It is composed of over 200,00 middle, high school and vocational students, in 2,000 schools/chapters spanning 45 states and two foreign countries.. TSA is supported by educators, parents and business leaders who believe in the need for a technologically literate society and are working to achieve that goal.
The mission of the Technology Student Association is to prepare our membership for the challenges of a dynamic world by promoting technological literacy, leadership, and problem solving, resulting in personal growth and opportunity. The Engineering and Robotics class at the Madison Career & Technical Center first began their TSA chapter in 1996.
