    Dear Parents,

Technology never ceases to amaze us!  We know life can get hectic when kids start school and deadlines become overwhelming.  Remind 101 is a text and email application that will allow us to periodically send out school wide and grade level information via text and/or email to help keep you "in the know."

To start receiving text message reminders simply text 81010 with one of the
    following messages:

For school wide messages text @msschoolo

For 6th grade messages text @gms6grader
For 7th grade messages text @gms7grade
For 8th grade messages text @gms8thgr

If you have trouble sending a text to 81010 try text 571-374-1840.

If you would rather receive email reminders, simply send an email to one of the following email addresses:

For school wide messages, send an email to msschoolo@mail.remind.com

For 6th grade messages, send an email to gms6grader@mail.remind.com
For 7th grade messages, send an email to gms7grade@mail.remind.com
For 8th grade messages, send an email to gms8thgr@mail.remind.com

We hope that that this will help strengthen the home-school connection.

ATTENTION! SPECIAL AFFIDAVIT VERIFICATION OF RESIDENCY

The Madison County School District now requires that the parent/legal guardian of a student residing in a home not owned or rented in the name of the parent/legal guardian (ENROLLMENT BY SPECIAL AFFIDAVIT) must provide proof of residency at a designated location before the student may be enrolled.  Both the parent/legal guardian of the student and the homeowner/leaseholder of the property must meet with District personnel at the designated location beginning this year and every year forward.

We are having one remaining general session of special affidavit processing. The General Session will be held on Thursday, July 26, from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Central Office for those parents that did not attend the session for their zone.  After July 26, special affidavits will be processed by appointment ONLY.  Parents will have to call the Central Office at 601-499-0800 to schedule an appointment.  No walk-ins will be taken.  Please review the checklist of the required documentation.

Students will be allowed to take their device home including the holidays.  Please be aware that we will not be providing technical assistance during this time.  If your laptop is lost or stolen, you will need to contact the police immediately and fill out the Theft Form to report it to school administration.  Parent/guardian will be responsible for full replacement cost of laptop if not reported to MCS personnel within calendar 3 days of missing the device.
