Welcome to 8th grade! I am excited about having you in my Science class this year.

A little about myself:

I spent most of my childhood in West Monroe, Louisiana and graduated high school from West Monroe High.  I then attended college at Mississippi State University.  My husband, Michael, and I were married in 2008.  We have four children; Addie (13), twins Finley and Vivie Claire (12), and John Thomas (6).  We love Mississippi State athletics and spending time on our family farm in Starkville.  

Last year was my first year at Madison Middle, teaching 7th and 8th grade Pathways (our district's gifted program).  Although I love Pathways, I also love science. Therefore, I jumped at the offer to teach this new subject.  This will be my 18th year teaching.  I have previously taught 1st grade in JPS (1 year) as well as 3rd, 4th, and 5th at MAUE (16 years).
