Madison Middle

My name is Bethany Watkins, and I will be your child's English Language Arts teacher for the 2022-2023 school year.  I am a 1990 graduate of the old Madison-Ridgeland High School.    

Although I am a HUGE Mississippi State Bulldogs fan, I am a 2010 graduate of Ole Miss, a 2020 graduate of Arkansas State University, and a current Doctoral student at Liberty University.  This is my 13th year of teaching and my 12th year at Madison Middle School.  I have loved every minute of it. 

My husband and I have been married for 25 years. Together, we have 3 children and 1 grandson: Abby 24, Brooklynn 22, Blake 18, and Cooper 2.

I believe every child has the right to learn, but with that right to learn also comes certain responsibilities.  Classroom rules will be emphasized, and good behavior will be expected!  Your child will be challenged in my classroom!  I will expect their very best on a daily basis.  I love your sons and daughters.  And while a need for education may be the reason they walk through my door, my deepest desire is that my students know they are loved.  This is my goal. My objective.  My mission.
