    Our holiday parties will take place Thursday, December 15. Kindergarten parties will be from 10:00-10:40. First grade parties are from 10:40-11:20. Second grade parties are from 11:30-12:15.

    We would like to congratulate some special people! Mary Frances Taylor has been chosen as Mannsdale's Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Cameo Long is Assistant of the Year and Mrs. Jennifer Boutwell is our Parent of the Year for the 2016-2017 school year.

  • Author Visit

    Our students will meet Acree Macam and Natalie Nelson, the author and illustrator of The King of Birds for a storytime and drawing lesson on December 9. This visit is made possible through LeMuria Books. Order forms available by clicking this headline.

  • Makerspace Mavericks

    "To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong." We have created a Makerspace in our library. A Makerspace is a learning environment that encourages tinkering, play and open-ended exploration. If you have legos, magnetic tiles or any other engineering type toy that you would be willing to donate, send it to Mrs. North in our library. Thank you!   • New Mannsdale Traffic Pattern

    Beginning the first day of school, all students should be dropped off in the morning and picked up in the afternoon through the new Mannsdale entrance down Hwy 463, just beyond the old entrance.

    There will be two traffic officers directing traffic flow. ONLY staff and buses will be allowed to enter through the old entrance. Students will be dropped off in the front of the school.

    Chromebooks for 8th Grade Students

     

    Parents,

     

    We are excited to inform you that 8th grade students will soon participate in the Madison County Schools 1:M Digital
    Initiative. In the Spring of 2017, the 1:M initiative will be extended to middle school students. Students in the 8th
    grade will receive a Chromebook for take home use, while students in grades 6-7 will have access to devices in
    classrooms.

    Reporting Lost or Stolen Laptop
     
    Students will be allowed to keep their MacBook Air laptops during the Holidays.  Please be aware that we will not be providing technical assistance during this time.  If your laptop is lost or stolen, you will need to contact the police immediately and fill out the Theft Form to report it to school administration.  Parent/guardian will be responsible for full replacement cost of laptop if not reported to MCS personnel within calendar 3 days of missing the device.
