"To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong." We have created a Makerspace in our library. A Makerspace is a learning environment that encourages tinkering, play and open-ended exploration. If you have legos, magnetic tiles or any other engineering type toy that you would be willing to donate, send it to Mrs. North in our library. Thank you! Our students will enjoy a production of “Trickster Tales" by Peter Zapletal and his crew on February 17.. Selected children from the audience will join the professional cast on stage and perform with the puppets made by the company. Details can be found under this link.
"One Book, One School" is a movement designed to get an entire school community involved in the joy of reading. There are daily events and projects that reinforce the book and get everyone involved and excited about the reading experience. Ask your child about the books our entire school will be reading this year!
Please see the picture of the new traffic pattern for clarification.

MCS will host our District Reading Fair, for all school level first place winners, on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Madison County Central Office. A successful fair is one in which students enjoy the process of reading, create a project and share their favorite book & whether individually, with peers, or with friends or family members. Ultimately, as a result of participating in this process, students should experience a deeper enjoyment for reading and develop a lifelong love of reading.
