The faculty and staff of Madison Avenue K-2 Elementary believe that we are “Building Tomorrow’s Dreams with Today’s Promise.”  We focus on achieving academic excellence, creating and maintaining a safe, respectful and responsible learning environment, and developing healthy and active students.

 

The academic program allows Madison Avenue Upper and K-2 Elementary Schools to maintain the Star School status, the highest academic accreditation rating as determined by the Mississippi Department of Education.   Students continually excel in Math, Reading and Language.  Through a partnership with the Mississippi Arts Commission, Arts (visual, music, movement, drama, and dance) has been integrated across all subject areas to increase student interest and positively affect achievement. 
 

At Madison Avenue K-2, we are serious about educating the whole child.  Learning is a lifelong process.  Research supports the fact that skills learned early in life transfers into adulthood.  As stated earlier, our goal is to lay a firm foundation around high academic performance, safe, respectful and responsible behaviors and making healthy choices for life.
