East Flora Elementary School celebrated Red Ribbon Week October 26-30, 2009.  On Friday, October 30, 2009 we had Deputy Ralph Shearrill and Deputy John Harris from the Madison County Sheriff Department, Officer Diana Stewart from the Canton City Police Department, Carolyn P. Howard and Pasty Hillard from the Mississippi Underage Drinking Prevention Coalition of Madison and Rankin Counties.  These presenters provided educational information about the effects drugs and alcohol can have on both students and adults.  They did several demonstrations with the drug dog and the goggles that help demonstrate why you should never get into a car with someone under the influence of alcohol.
