2012-2013 Technology Department

This year Velma Jackson will have two new courses integrated into the Technology curriculum.

Mrs. Rimmer will be teaching STEM to all new incoming Freshman.

10-12th graders will have a chance to take a new course that is being offered (GRAPHICS DESIGN). This course will be taught by Ms. Lane

The new STEM class will offer students a combined learning experience through Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Students will learn how to build robots and many other exciting activities. The STEM lab is an entire new lab and it is equipped with state of the art technology.

Ms. Rimmer and Ms. Lane are both STEM certified teachers.

The Velma Jackson Computer Lab will also be opened during school hours for students to use the blended learning approach that teachers will implement this 2012-2013 school year. Ms. Brown will supervise the computer lab and will be assisting all students.
