It is an exciting time to be a Maverick and I am so grateful to be part of the Mannsdale Elementary family. My husband Steven and I have been married for fourteen years and have 2 children, Parker and Mallory. We are active members of Broadmoor Baptist Church. I love reading, walking, shopping and collecting children's books. I started my career as a fourth grade teacher in the Clinton Public Schools then served as a librarian/grant coordinator at East Flora Elementary in Madison County. I taught on the college level for several years training new teachers and supervising student teachers for both Mississippi College and Mississippi State University. I encourage you to read with your child for at least 20 minutes a day. Reading aloud is so beneficial. It is also important that you encourage your children to read to you. I am passionate about teaching kids to love reading! I look forward to meeting and getting to know each of you.
