Hello Mavericks! It is hard to believe that we are in the process of starting our second year! How time has flown by since this time last year when we were planning for our first year at Germantown High School! And what an amazing first year we had! Thanks to many of you parents, students, and staff for helping us establish a solid foundation of excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts. In addition, we have begun building a family-friendly atmosphere here in the "Maverick Zone" to include our three feeder schools - Madison Crossing Elementary, Mannsdale Elementary, and Germantown Middle School. Here on our website you will be able to access a Common Zone Calendar which we hope will be helpful for all families in the "Mav Zone". Our website will also be your source of important infomation, dates of many school activities, athletic schedules, PTO events, and more.
I want to give each of you a personal invitation to participate in our Parent Prayer Night on Thursday, August 2, 2012 beginning at 6:00 PM - immediately following student schedule pick-up which takes place from 4:00-6:00 PM. This will give you the opportunity to pray for our school, our teachers and staff, and most importantly - your children.
As we embark upon our second year at GHS, I am looking forwad to working alongside each of you as we continue to "train up children in the way they should go".
