Meet Kay Weems
About our Counselor
My name is Kay Weems and I am the counselor at Mannsdale Elementary School. I am so excited to be here and look forward to working with and getting to know your children!
I want you all to know a little about my background and how I came to be the counselor at Mannsdale Elementary School. I graduated from Mississippi University for Women with a B.S. degree in Elementary and Special Education. I went on to graduate from Mississippi State University with a Master's Degree in Special Education and later received my Master's Certification in Guidance and Counseling from Mississippi College.
I have worked in the field of education for 28 years, as both a classroom teacher and counselor. I have worked in the Madison County School for 23 years, spending the last 14 years as a counselor at Rosa Scott/Madison Middle School.
I am committed to the children of Madison County and look forward to getting to know both you and your children. I love my job and will always do whatever is necessary to ensure your child's emotional and academic success. I am always available to talk to or meet with you concerning your child. They are our most valuable assets!
