From the Principal's Desk
Dear ASE families,
It is hard to believe that April is almost over and that we are gearing up for our last month of school for the 2012-2013 school year. It has been a WONDERFUL year so far, and we are looking forward to a exciting May!
We will continue our SUPER TITAN program this month. Our SUPER TITAN program ties into our character trait of the month and is designed to promote positive behavior in our school. This month our trait is SAFETY. Two students from each class that best display this trait will be selected as SUPER TITANS. On Friday, May 17th these students will proudly wear our SUPER TITAN capes at school.
Our TEAM TITAN incentive program will run through the end of the school year. Please encourage your students to be on their best behavior. In fact, we want them to look for ways to "get caught" doing something great! Each day students who are "caught" doing great things will have the opportunity to enter their name in a drawing. I have a very special lunch planned for the names that are selected!
We will also continue to honor the students at ASE that come each day and arrive on time. Each Friday we will celebrate the students who were on time and here each day of the week by allowing them a little time to SHINE during morning announcements. At the end of each month, students who have perfect attendance and have no tardies will come to the office to select a prize from our school treasure box! Please do your best to have your child here on time each and every day. We begin instruction promptly at 7:30, and we do not want any child enrolled in ASE to miss opportunities to learn.
The students' last day for the 2012-2013 school year is a 60% day on Thursday, May 23rd. Please mark your calendar for some very important dates for the 2013-2014 school year. ASE Meet the Teacher night is Monday, August 5th from 3:00-6:00. This is your opportunity to meet your child's teacher and drop off thier supplies. The students' first day back is Wednesday, August 7th.
I would also like to remind you that all students, new and returning, will need to provide two current utility bills for the months of June or July. You may drop this residency information off at ASE beginning June 17th.
