In addition to the required credits, students must also pass the State-mandated Algebra I, Biology I,
English II Multiple-Choice and Writing, & U.S. History Tests to receive their high school diploma.
Requirements for Freshman Entrance Into a 2-Year,
Junior, or Community College in Mississippi
Any RHS student who earns their high school diploma and has taken the ACT Test is eligible for entrance into a
2-Year/Junior/Community College. No specific ACT Score is required for entrance by the 2-Year colleges.
Requirements for Freshman Entrance Into a 4-Year College
or University in Mississippi
Any RHS student who earns their high school diploma, has a minimum ACT score of 18 or higher AND has taken 2.0 credits of additional “Required Electives” is eligible for entrance into a Mississippi 4-Year college or university. The list of courses a student may choose to fulfill the “Required Electives” are as follows:
1.0 credit must be taken from:

_____ Advanced World Geography
You can take both these classes and meet this 2.0 credit requirement for “required electives” or choose to take
The remaining 1.0 credit from:
_____ Foreign Language II
_____ An additional 1.0 credit of math above Alg. II
