WELCOME to the JUNGLE where we're WILD about READING!
Parents and Students
In an effort to comply with Madison County Schools Handbook rules concerning dress code, we are asking that young ladies abide by the "fingertip" guide when dressing for classes. When standing with their hands relaxed by their sides, shorts or skirts must not be above the fingertips. Beginning Monday, students will be expected to strictly adhere to that standard. If students fail to meet that length, parents will be called.

Parents and Students:
I want to remind you of the FANTASIC computer program that our school purchased to use in addition to our set classroom readers. Due to the fact that students have so many items in their backpacks daily, students do NOT need to take home the very heavy and expensive reading books. The site thinkcentral.com is available for their use. Each student has a user name and a password that will allow them to access the reader online. Please take advantage of this. If you need a copy of your student's user name and password, let me know. If your student has previously tried and failed to log on, remember that their user name is the series of numbers and their password is their first initial and last name (ie: KThompson)

GRAMMAR is GRRRRRREAT!
Language review covers a
variety of grammar rules, and we'll take weekly quizzes on the skills we've
practiced in our DLR (Daily Language Review) workbook. We'll also continue
working on sentence fluency by correcting fragments and run ons. Paragraph organization
is important including topic sentence, details, and closing sentence.
SPELLING Safari
Routine spelling tests
are every Thursday.
-Notes for this week:
We are going to be reviewing this week. Students will only have daily grades taken at random this week. They may or may not have any homework assignments, depending on what we doing.
