I received my BA in English with a minor in Art History and my MA in Creative Writing from the University of Southern Mississippi. This will be my 12th year teaching. I am a Jackson native, but I have also lived in Austin, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia. I am lucky to have a talented and creative husband who loves to do all the cooking, a wonderful son who is starting his first year of high school at GHS and never seems to stop growing, and two rowdy dachshunds who can never get enough belly rubs. In my spare time (sadly, there's not much of it) I bake cupcakes, read, and travel.
