Science Homework:  We will be working hard this week in preparation for the upcoming Science MCT2 on May 1st.  To help prepare your child I have assigned the following:

1) MCT Key Word Test on #37-77 this Friday, April 26th. (Study sheet sent home today, Monday, April 22nd)  This will be a matching test.

2) Go back and pull up ALL Study Island topics to a 90% on 20 questions for the following topics.  This will differ for each child.

All Physical Science topics should be pulled up by this Wednesday, April 24th.

All Life Science topics should be pulled up by Monday, April 29th.

We will visit Madison Middle School this Tuesday, April 16th.  Fun!!!

The last Jag Store for the year will be this Thursday, April 18th.

Science Homework:  We will be working hard the next couple of weeks in preparation for the upcoming Science MCT2 on May 1st.  To help prepare your child I have assigned the following:

We will attend the Willy Wonka play this Thursday, April 11th.  Please make sure your child brings a sack lunch and a drink for that day unless you indicated on the permission form that you wanted one from school.

We will continue our Abstinence lessons this week along with MCT Science practice.

Homework:  Study Island - 20 questions P or A on "Food Chains and Food Webs" due Monday, April 22nd.

We have 4 weeks left until the MCT2 Science test.  MAUE scored advanced last year in science and we are aiming for the same goal this year.  The kids have worked so hard this year.  I'm very proud of how far they have come.  Please help me by making sure that your child completes Study Island homework and takes their review for the upcoming test seriously.  I am so thankful for supportive parents!! 

We will be teaching our abstinence program to the kids for the next couple of weeks.  The lesson this week deals with whole body health, life goals, and puberty.  While I am working with the girls, the boys will go to the other pod teachers and complete science review work and vice versa.  They will be held accountable for their review work.  I will take grades on some review assignments.  

Study Island homework due this Friday, April 5th.  "Adaptations" - 20 questions P or A.

Book Fair is March 20^th  - 27^th.

Madison Middle counselors will be here Wednesday to talk with the students about classes next year.  Your child should bring home a choice sheet for you to look over and sign on Wednesday evening.  Information about open house for the middle school will be attached to the choice sheet.

 **Jag Store will be this Thursday. If your child hasn’t spent all of their Jag Bucks, they will be allowed to spend them at the Jag Store!!

Science Homework:  Study Island on Reproduction of Plants is due THIS Wed., March 20th.  (20 questions P or A)  There will be a test on the reproduction of plants this Wed.   Questions will come STRAIGHT from Study Island.

March Madness on the Avenue was AWESOME!!!!!  Thanks to all who participated!!!

Bank Day will be this Wednesday, March 6^th.

Yearbook 5th grade group pictures this Wednesday.

Study Island on the Body Systems is due Wednesday, March 6th for a grade.  (20 questions)

We will have a test on the skeletal system and the body systems this Wed., March 6th.  To prepare for the test, complete the Body Systems Study Island assignment and learn the bones from the Study Guide sent home last Wednesday.

To celebrate "Read Across America", we are encouraging students to dress up as their favorite book character this Friday, March 1st.  

On Saturday, March 2nd from 9:30 - 11:30, we will host "March Madness on the Avenue" at school.  Their Jag Bucks may be used for games and activities on that day.  A parent must accompany their child during this event.  Looking forward to a great time together!

 2. Study Island on "Body Systems" due NEXT Tuesday, March 5th. (20 questions P or A) 

 3. Skeletal System and Body Systems test will be NEXT Tuesday, March 5th.  Study sheet for skeletal system will be sent home Wednesday.  The Body System portion of the test will come straight from Study Island.
