News From The Library
What a great 1st 9 weeks we have had in the library. Time flies when you are having fun! Our Highland Elementary Library will soon have a one-of-a-kind, cool and comfy reading space for all to enjoy. Our new handmade risers have been delivered and everything will be completed soon. We can't wait! Since the popular reading sections were such a hit last year, we will be adding graphic novels, horses, space, and earth to our selection. This year our creative writing club will meet on Tuesday mornings at 6:30 a.m. in the library. Some of our writing projects include using the computer to create and publish a school newsletter, working with our new library Kindles, and researching/writing/publishing individual or group books.
To be recognized on the AR Wall of Fame, students must reach the following AR goals:
3rd Grade--30 points each 9 weeks
4th Grade--35 points each 9 weeks
5th Grade--40 points each 9 weeks
