Welcome to Coach Canoy's Class!!
I am so excited to have each of you in my classroom. I am looking forward to a good year as you enter the first year of high school. Rosa Scott is a great place to start your road to graduation. You will be either in Algebra I or Geometry for me. You will need to be prepared every day. Have your supplies - PENCILS ONLY please and a good attitude.
You will find the textbook links ON LINE (hopefully) and can always check here for information about the class. I also have Algebra I power poiints available that are a great tutorial for you. You will soon see a tab for Algebra I notes and Geometry notes. These will be the notes for each day so that any time you miss you can find out what went on it class. Together we can get you well prepared to move forward. Expect to work hard, learn a lot, and have a fantastic year.

Remember that in each class you have the option to do EXTRA CREDIT before EACH test!!! The self-check quizzes from the website will each count for an extra point on that test. They are also a great way to review!!! The instructions are at the top of the individual Algebra or Geometry pages!! DON"T FORGET!!!!!!!!
About the Teacher
Coach Canoy is from Carthage but now resides in Jackson. She is the proud mother of three children; twin sons, Nick and Zach, that are in their second year of college and a daughter, Alyssa, who is in the 7th grade at Madison Middle School. She is also the girls' basketball coach for Madison Central.
