Welcome Message

Welcome to my site.  Please use this website to keep up-to-date on all of the activities going on with the Olde Towne Band program.

Keith Moffat is currently in his 16th year with the Ridgeland band program and his 28th year as a Band Director in Mississippi.  He serves as the Olde Towne Middle School band director and as an assistant band director for Ridgeland High School.  Previously, he was the Middle School band director and assistant High School Director for schools in Oxford, Vicksburg/Warren, and Starkville School Districts.  He is a 1985 graduate (B.M.) from the University of Mississippi.  His middle school bands have consistently earned superior ratings in both concert and sight reading.  He was nominated into the “Outstanding Young Men Of America” in 1987 and listed in "Who's Who in American Teachers" in 2005.  He is currently a member of Phi Beta Mu, the Mississippi Bandmasters Association, the East Central Mississippi Band Directors Association (where he served on the executive board), the Capital District Band Directors Association, the Texas Music Educators Association, and the National Bandmasters Association.

Mr. Moffat continues to be in demand as a Clinician and Adjudicator for both concert and marching bands throughout Mississippi.  Mr. Moffat currently resides in Ridgeland, MS with his wife, Sherrel Ann, and his three daughters (Emily -25, Cassie-22, and Mary-19).

The Olde Towne Middle School Bands have been consistent in superior ratings in both concert and sight reading since the school opened its doors in 1996 under the direction of Mr. Moffat.
