Titan Park

Opened in 2005, Titan Park is situated on the south side of Ridgeland High School campus. Construction of the field began in 2003. While the main source of funding was the Madison County School District, many of the “extras” and field amenities were made possible through contributions by friends and supporters of the Titan Baseball program. The Ridgeland coaches, players, staff and numerous volunteers contributed countless hours to the construction of Titan Park.

The objective of the RHS coaches and administration is to ensure that Titan Park represents the finest of high school baseball facilities.

Titan Park Facts:

Dimensions:	322’ Left and Right field; 353’ Alleys 370’ Center; Dugouts and Backstop are 50’ back from the field of play.
Infield/Outfield Turf:	Tifway 419 Hybrid Bermuda supplied by McClendon Sod Farms in Tillatoba, Mississippi. Annual overseeding with GQ perennial rye grass.
Infield Dirt:	Red Clay and Mule mix from Southern Athletic fields in Columbia, Tennessee.
Warning Track:	Crushed Red Stone.
Dugouts:	Sunken, 60’ by 14’ plus an 8’ by 8’ storage room incorporated. Brick exterior utilizing the same bricks found on the High School. Each dugout features 32’ of bench space.
Backstop:	Brick 3’ high retaining wall with a 25’ high black net backstop.
Scoreboard:	Wireless LCD standing 43’ wide and 19’ high.
Fence:	Wooden 6’ high from foul lines to the batter’s eye where the fence is 12’ high
Lighting System:	An 8 pole lighting system, installed by Southern Electric, has 66 fixtures and provides over 50 foot candles of lighting on the infield and over 30 foot candles of lighting in the outfield.  The light fixtures are 70 feet above the playing surface and are attaced to the stresscrete poles.
