  • congrats

A big congratulations goes out to the Titan Robotics teams for their performance at the Robotics World Championships!

While all teams made a good showing, the Titan “A” team left their mark as being the only MS team to make it to division finals.  This put them in the top 12 alliances in the WORLD!  They also places in the top 35 for robot skills in the World!  Also… Fernando G. got called out by a company for innovative programming on their robot.

    Congratulation to team 7536A -  Kelvin S., Keelan H., Randy T., Daniel H., Victoria J., Austin C., John G. Jarrett H., Fernando G. and Mr. Richardson!

Welcome to Our District

Welcome to the website for Madison County Schools. With nearly 13,000 students, we are the fifth largest school district in the state of Mississippi. Madison County Schools is the highest scoring county school district in Mississippi to achieve an "A" rating based on the statewide accountability model.

Our motto is “Madison County Schools: Mark of Excellence!” We are strongly committed to offering a challenging education, and that commitment is very evident in the programs and opportunities available to our children. Our goal is not only to help each child reach his or her fullest potential; but also for each child to excel.

Our district has initiated a 1:M (One To Many) laptop program at the high school level, block scheduling in the middle schools, ICT/STEM course offerings beginning in 6th grade, and instituted the first administration of the ACT test to all 11th graders, onsite at the District’s high schools, at no charge to students. Our focus on “Motivate, Educate and Graduate” resulted in over 90% of the 2015 senior class graduating on time.

As you peruse our website, we hope you will find a great deal of helpful information about Madison County Schools’ programs, activities, and upcoming events.

Yours in Education,

Ronnie L. McGehee, Ph. D.
